Loved the last saturday which just passed!
(:

This is to you - my friend, and to the other you who will probably never read this:
As we go on, we'll remember all the times we had together.
And as our lives change, come whatever, we'll still be friends forever. :D

Stay strong, fight on! (:

First week of school!
great seeing everyone but it's kinda sad knowing that this will be the last "first day" for us, at least in NYP.
:(
for a change, school has ended early (1pm?! How long was it since we finished classes at 1pm? hahaha)for the whole week and we have no school tmr!
but guess next week, we will go revert to the previous school life again, with projects and assignments building up.
but i kind of prefer being busy actually. lesser time to think of other stuff.
there's something i really want to do now.
something i havent done in such a long time. something i havent touched for so long.
something i used to love. but since participated less in since school started.
i dont write it in my fb status cos i know it will be awkward.
which actually brings me to another point...
i know i havent been a good friend. i know it wasnt nice drawing that line.
it made everything so awkward and made me question if i should requested for the placement in the first place.
but then again, i know you understand (even though you still always grumble when you see me) (:
i dont understand how it feels like being on a wheelchair, i admit.
i dont understand how you exactly feel, cos i have been such as lousy friend.
but i know you have improved so much and the others have put in so much effort in caring for you, cheering you on.
girl, i just want to tell you that you have been really brave in facing all the challenges and i just want to tell you to continue working towards goals you have...cos i know you can!
who knows, maybe someday all of us will be able to play the game we all once loved so much again altogether.
im not being insensitive here but its just a thought.
even if it means playing it in a different way, no one mandated that playing basketball was about running on court...
which reminds me thati just watched a youtube clip recently.
its about china got talent whereby this man without arms participated and played the piano with his legs.
he said something really inspiring when the judges were asking him questions. or rather somethings...
first that no one mandated that the piano had to be played with hands.
second that in his life, there were only 2 paths. either die or live it to the best and meaningfully.
i was inspired. if he could have such determination, there is no reason why i cannot live life like him.
thank you to you who i will probably never meet (:

i remember in the past, when people asked me what course i was doing and then aksed me if we were the same as PT, i would answer things like something like that.
but if someone asks again, occupational therapy is the art/science of facilitating participation in meaningful occupations - this is what i would say.
though we have always been exposed to the definitions, this time i clearly understand the beauty and meaning of the definition.

last weekends before school start!
had a great evening/night with the sjab girls yesterday!
supposed to have picnic at marina barrage
but judging by the amount of food we bought at suntec, it was more like a buffet.
can u imagine...
for 8 persons, we had mcdonalds, shih ling oyster mee sua, auntie anne's pretzels, sushi, donuts, chips.
fei si wo men!
HAHA
it was great catching up and encouraging jas to go and join the next star search.
she has got lots of potential! :D
initially, i thought it would be awkward cos i havent seen some of them for quite long. but NO, hahaha we talked till the cows came home.
ended the night with monopoly deal/dai dee.
tried to call cabs from 11.30pm (intending to try to avoid midnight charge)
but we exhausted all cab companies hotline and there was not a single available cab!
we tried all the way till 12.30pm and jas' bf was very nice to come and drive us out.
in the end, he sent some of us home.
thanks so much! (:
SJAB gathering soon, and if we are going somewhere far, someone please drive! hahaha
anw, after much procrastination, im finally going to cut my fringe today.
i kept saying i want to cut for the past 2 weeks. -.-
and then off the whylet's 21st later!
:D

anw, i have been reflecting alot.
ever since i started reading jodi picoult's house rules.
she talks about issues which are so close to our hearts, yet things which we dont usually ponder about.
house rules is about a boy with asperger's syndrome and how he has difficulties communicating with others, like normal people do. lack of eye contact etc.
and in it, he mentioned he did not understand why people make small talks, like asking "how are you"
and went on to say that he did not see the purpose as the person is just asking for the sake of avoiding being in awkward silence.
to him, he thought so deeply into it.
and then i thought about myself and found out i was guilty of that sometimes. yet it was something i did not really give such great thoughts into.
alrights, please read it if u have the chance (:

yay! havent posted since like forever.
hahaha.
oh wells, 2nd week of holidays now, 1 more week before the last sem starts!
clings was great!
learnt alot - not only from clinicians but patients as well.
this clings has definitely opened my eyes up to look beyond physical impairments, but as well as looking at assets and other factors such as the family.
definitely seeing things from a holistic point of view now.
(:
celebrated the end of clings with a short trip to penang with some of the oh-tee mates
had the bestest hosts there!
we basically chi dong si chi dong si and chi dong si. hahaha.
and of cos, went to tourist spots and a lil of shopping and always ending the night with monopoly deal (:
FINALLY met up with the girls too!
met mal, layn and marcus last night to play l4d2
my first time playing
sorry friends for always getting myself killed before the mission ends
seriously i have no idea where my keyboard always moved towards the left into mal's space
and why i have some problems controlling the mouse. either looking up or down. but not straight ahead -.-
but i did improve throughout the games hor
hahaha
although i do not like the idea of having zombies attacking me at all times, i have to agree that the game is actually a lil addictive.
makes me want to play again somehow. hmm...
anw, i have mixed feelings towards the start of school
i want to go back and meet everyone again but yet dreading the end of sem
i dont feel competent yet to ask myself the question - am i ready?
this time, not as student anymore but as a clinician
ok, i still have one more sem before having to ask myself the question LOL
haha
and as always, i would like to thank YOU for guiding me through, always answering my prayers(:
THANK YOU for seeing me through as i studied and for the results i yielded
:D

Did i mention...that i really love my life now?
not having to think and wonder what i HAVE/NEED to do but what i CAN do.
i love this personal time. (:
though short, i will make the best out of it.
and so house rules, here i come!
Jodi picoult is love! (:
