First week of school!great seeing everyone but it's kinda sad knowing that this will be the last "first day" for us, at least in NYP.
:(
for a change, school has ended early (1pm?! How long was it since we finished classes at 1pm? hahaha)for the whole week and we have no school tmr!
but guess next week, we will go revert to the previous school life again, with projects and assignments building up.
but i kind of prefer being busy actually. lesser time to think of other stuff.
there's something i really want to do now.
something i havent done in such a long time. something i havent touched for so long.
something i used to love. but since participated less in since school started.
i dont write it in my fb status cos i know it will be awkward.
which actually brings me to another point...
i know i havent been a good friend. i know it wasnt nice drawing that line.
it made everything so awkward and made me question if i should requested for the placement in the first place.
but then again, i know you understand (even though you still always grumble when you see me) (:
i dont understand how it feels like being on a wheelchair, i admit.
i dont understand how you exactly feel, cos i have been such as lousy friend.
but i know you have improved so much and the others have put in so much effort in caring for you, cheering you on.
girl, i just want to tell you that you have been really brave in facing all the challenges and i just want to tell you to continue working towards goals you have...cos i know you can!
who knows, maybe someday all of us will be able to play the game we all once loved so much again altogether.
im not being insensitive here but its just a thought.
even if it means playing it in a different way, no one mandated that playing basketball was about running on court...
which reminds me thati just watched a youtube clip recently.
its about china got talent whereby this man without arms participated and played the piano with his legs.
he said something really inspiring when the judges were asking him questions. or rather somethings...
first that no one mandated that the piano had to be played with hands.
second that in his life, there were only 2 paths. either die or live it to the best and meaningfully.
i was inspired. if he could have such determination, there is no reason why i cannot live life like him.
thank you to you who i will probably never meet (:
i remember in the past, when people asked me what course i was doing and then aksed me if we were the same as PT, i would answer things like something like that.
but if someone asks again, occupational therapy is the art/science of facilitating participation in meaningful occupations - this is what i would say.
though we have always been exposed to the definitions, this time i clearly understand the beauty and meaning of the definition.
(:
